At Medirex our thorough eye examinations can take around 20 – 30 minutes & could even save your eyesight!

 

It’s a straight forward test that we will carry out in complete privacy in one of our consultant rooms. Here we use the latest cutting edge technology and equipment to enable our optometrist to obtain an accurate assessment of how well you can see as well as gauging the general health of your eyes. This short examination can help with the possible early detection of many eye problems and diseases including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, Cataracts, Astigmatism, high blood pressure to mention a few.

 

It is recommended you have your eyes checked by a specialist at least every 2 years, or more frequently, especially if you have any concerns about your eye sight. After your eye test is complete, we will guide you through the various types of lenses suitable for your prescription needs. These range from Single Vision, Varifocals, Bifocals, Anti-Reflection, Transitions and Reading Glasses. But don’t worry about what each one does now, as we will explain simply and clearly at the time.
